Global luxury house prices up 3.6% in 2024, led by Seoul, Manila and Dubai: Knight Frank

Knight Frank’s Prime International Residential Index 100 (PIRI 100), which tracks and analyses the annual price growth for luxury housing across 100 key cities, increased by 3.6% in 2024, according to the real estate consultancy’s annual The Wealth Report. This is slightly higher than the 3.3% growth registered in 2023 but still lags behind the long-run trend of 4.5% seen over the past two decades, the report adds.

Majority of Wee Hur Holdings ’ shareholders have voted in favour for the sale of its seven purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) in Australia in its extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held on Feb 28, according to a bourse filing on March 10. About 99.93% of all shareholders voted for the proposed disposal, while 0.07% voted against.

GuocoLand secures $367.1 mil green loan for Faber Walk development

GuocoLand has secured a $367.1 million green club facility from DBS Bank to develop its Faber Walk site. The residential land parcel was awarded through a Government Land Sale tender last November to GuocoLand and its joint venture partners, TID and Hong Leong Holdings. The partners submitted the top bid of $349.86 million, or $900 psf per plot ratio, for the 277,659 sq ft site. The future development will feature 399 residential units across nine low-rise blocks.
