Green building certification in Apac office market hits halfway point: CBRE

Property consultancy firm CBRE says green office building adoption in the Asia Pacific (Apac) region has grown steadily over the past year, driven by net-zero targets. In a March research report, the firm says that 50.5% of office buildings in Apac have achieved green building certification as of June 2024, rising 6.5% y-o-y. Leading markets include Australian cities like Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

DFI Retail shares up after sale of Cold Storage, Giant supermarkets for $125 million

DFI Retail Group is selling its network of Cold Storage and Giant supermarkets in Singapore for $125 million to a Malaysian company Macrovalue. As part of the deal, Macrovalue will take over 48 Cold Storage stores, 41 Giant stores and also two distribution centres. Following the sale, DFI will focus on its chain of Guardian and 7-Eleven businesses. DFI shares extended gains today after the announcement was made during the lunch break.

ESR-REIT has completed the divestment of two properties for a sale consideration of $6.8 million, according to a bourse filing on March 24. The two properties are 1 Third Lok Yang Road and 4 Fourth Lok Yang Road, and the sale consideration represents a 3.5% premium above its valuation of $6.6 million.

Freehold industrial development on Alexandra Road for sale at $68 mil
